Trekking and Hiking in Costa Rica - Chirripo National Park - Corcovado National Park - Customized trekking and hiking tours - Lower Savegre

Day 1

Transfer from San Isidro to Brujo de Savegre in a 4 wheel drive vehicle. (1 1/2 hours)
Your guide will be waiting for you to start your adventure.
Horseback ride from El Brujo de Savegre to Piedras Blancas. (2 hours)
Lunch and Dinner.
Lodging at El Río Mountain Lodge.

Day 2
After breakfast you will start your hike to Savegre Caverns.
You return to the lodge for lunch.
During the afternoon you can take a hike in the surroundings of the lodge and enjoy swimming in the
Savegre River.
Dinner and lodging at El Río Mountain Lodge.

Day 3
Hike the trails of Piedras Blancas.
Enjoy participating of the country side and farm activities with the Granados Family.
Breakfast, lunch, dinner and lodging at El Río Mountain Lodge.

Day 4
Horseback ride back from Piedras Blancas to Brujo de Savegre with your guide. (2 hours)
Transfer from Brujo de Savegre to San Isidro. (1 1/2 hours.).

Trek Includes
Transportation from Hotel in San Isidro to Brujo de Savegre - San Isidro, meals (3B,3L,3D), 3 nights in El Río Mountain Lodge, horse backriding, a hike to Savegre Caverns and Piedras Blancas trails, local guide. It doesn´t include energy food during hikes and lodging in San Isidro the night before the trek. Our guides: equipped with first aid kit, they are very knowledgeable of the area.

Note: This activity includes horseback riding, nevertheless it can be done by hiking. Chirripo.com reserves the right to change or omit portions of any itinerary due to bad weather or rain conditions.

What to bring?
Hiking shoes (waterproof are recommended) rainjacket and rainpants, pack raincover, hat, sunscreen, camera (200 ISO Film recommended), sunglasses, sandals or shoes for resting in lodge, personal medicines, good flashlight/headlamp with extra batteries.
**Pack everything in plastic bags inside your backpack.
